Here's what subscribers to PNQ Online Ezine are saying about this great online ezine:

I subscribed to your new mag today and am "stunned" at how good it is. I loved the "block of month" as I have been wanting to do one and for this one I can use my own stash. The free pattern was brilliant and explaining the new terms was great for me as I am fairly new to this craft. I thought I recognised the name of your featured quilter and then I recognised her stunning quilt. It was all BRILLIANT. I will tell many others about this. Many thanks for a very enjoyable night reading your mag, and for the many hours of use I will get from using the patterns and tips. Best of luck, Di: Mira Mar, Albany, Western Australia

Dear Helen, Thank you so much for your newsletter and free block of the month. As a beginner quilter I am taken over by the 'quilting bug'. I have fallen in love with materials (a concept my husband cannot understand) and am considering selling the three children so I can have more time to quilt!!! I will take up the "challenge" of the Christmas wall hanging and try to remember everytime I make a mistake, I will learn from it. I look forward to your next newsletter and all it's contents. Rachel:
Bullcreek, Perth, Western Australia

Thankyou for such a great & "informative" newsletter I loved my first edition and can not wait for the next one! Happy patchworking! Mary: Gosnells, Perth, Western Australia

About 10mins ago I received your wonderful newsletter - I am so "pleased" I decided to subscribe. I am so impressed with your style of newsletter I just had to let you know. I was about to say which section I enjoyed most but cannot choose. I am a newbie at this patchwork and quilting stuff and feel that the "information" you provide will assist me greatly. Thanks again for such a beaut newsletter, I'm now off for some SEX (Stash Enhancement Expedition! ie fabric shopping) - bye for now - Jill: Singleton, Perth, Western Australia

I happened upon your site quite by accident and absolutely "love" it. As a mother of 2 teens, and a fulltime worker [outside home] I use quilting as "my time". So helpful in relieving stress after 12 hours at work. Please keep up the great work. Di: Adelaide, South Australia

Hi Helen I really "enjoyed" my first edition of your ezine. I loved all the articles and patterns. I especially enjoyed your mother's "Vanilla Thriller", my Mum used to make it when I was a kid. I have pinned up in my work room a copy of "10 Reasons to Buy Fabric", just so I don't feel too bad the next time I go crazy at the fabric shop and to show my husband the next time he asks what I am going to do with all that material. I'm sure of him saying, "Why are you still buying material when you have a cupboard full already?" I have passed this onto those members of my P & Q group that I know their email addresses the rest will get a hard copy when next we meet. Keep up the good work. Noelene: Shoal Bay, Port Stephens, NSW, Australia

Hi Helen , I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful site! It has given me much pleasure to read about the retreat at Iona and have a copy of the denim rag quilt - I have been wanting to know how to make a rag quilt for some time and I really appreciate your generosity and hard work that goes into your newsletter it is really "informative" thanks once again and keep up the good work - Yours in Quilting - Josephine: Duncraig, Perth, Western Australia

Great site! Love BOM, so I will now have yours to work on. Thanks for the "free" pattern Sunflower Special. Can't wait to start that one! I am from Kansas so, Sunflowers are good. Keep up the great site. Thanks. L: Overbrook, Kansas, USA

Hi Helen! Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed viewing your website on the recommendation of Kathy R. I'm from the USA and met Kathy last September on a trip to Australia. I am a longarm quilter and I have too many UFO's to count! Congrats on the Silent Symphony quilt. It's lovely! Kay: Trent, South Dakota, USA

Thank-you for the "wonderful" site, you have a lot of good information on here and I love your free pattern. The sunflower wallhanging is wonderful, I can't wait to make it! Gwen: Glidden, Saskatchewan, Canada

Hi Helen, I found your site via another. "Congratulations" on starting it. It's great to see another Aussie join the zillions from the US. It looks very promising. I particularly liked the Food for Thought. Many times I've had some of these ideas myself, particularly when I'm having a bad day and need to get things into perspective! My favourite time of day is when I snuggle down in my nice warm bed with my beloved right next to me, knowing that all my family is safe and well. Bliss!! We all should take these 'on board'- I'll be sending them to my friends. Keep up the good work. Aless: Adelaide, South Australia

Enjoyed this first issue. Thank you. Cheers, Barbara: Albany, Western Australia

Hi Helen, what a "lovely story" about your beautiful quilt "Silent Symphony" I did not know the full story about it until I read it here in your newsletter. I am sure your Mum was overjoyed to receive it - you should be very proud of yourself. What a coup, getting Jose's autograph on it as well, it will be a life long memory for you and your family to treasure. Well done. I am so pleased that you won the Viewers choice as well, it shows you what an effect it had on so many people. I have put it in the 2004/05 History Book. By the way I sympathise with you, I lost my sister to cancer last year, she was 60 years old. Jan: Hillarys, Perth, Western Australia

Dear Helen, Thankyou for the newsletter. I am an experienced patchworker and found it very interesting. Well done! Suzanne: Stoneville, Perth, Western Australia

Hi Helen, Once again I just have to say how much I enoyed the latest issue of your really great newsletter. It is such a pleasure to read and has lots of "interest and diversity". I especially like the new addition of useful hints on fabric preparation and patchwork groundwork which so many people are simply not aware of. This will be so "very helpful" for them. Kind regards, Judy: Marmion, Perth, Western Australia

Hi Helen, Thank you for contacting me again. I couldn't get the link to work last time. Thank you for the "Sunflower Special" pattern. I love it. It's already printed out ready to start finding fabrics for. Gee, I hope I don't have to go out and buy more fabric for it :) Take care, Linda: Huntingdale, Perth, Western Australia

I want to thank you for bringing this e-zine to the web. I love reading your articles, especially your story of you Mum. It brought tears to my eyes. I also love the Wise Words and Trivia not the least to mention the Name the Block contest. I also love sunflowers and think your designs are beautiful. Can't wait to see what the next Block of the Month is to bring. A new quilting buddy across the sea, Michele: Beach Park, IL, USA

Thanks
for your newsletter. I did enjoy it and look forward to trying the Vanilla Thrilla as I LOVE vanilla slice! It was good to hear about Adriana - her work is really magnificent and her story is "encouraging" to me. Like you, it seems, I always have many things on the go. But I am feeling very good at present as I have just finished handquilting a quilt that was started in 2000, but has had bits done to it on and off over the years. The hand quilting was started about Oct last year, and I am really glad to have it finished. It is for my neice for Christmas, so one present completed already!! I also have heaps of ideas I would like to make. Will need to live till I am 200 to do them all I reckon. Ruth: Mt Pleasant, Perth, Western Australia

Helen, What a wonderful site. Well organised and not "tizzy" like some of those other sites, especially the homegrown variety. Love it and have passed the link to many of my quilting friends. Christine: Mt Warren Park, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Thank-you for the "wonderful" site, you have a lot of good information on here and I love your free pattern. The sunflower wallhanging is wonderful, I can't wait to make it! Gwen: Glidden, Saskatchewan, Canada

Hi Helen, I joined yesterday and am very impressed. I have had a slump with my patchwork and quilting but after reading all that you have here I am being inspired to pull the finger out and get to it. "Love" the Sunflower quilt, it is a must do and the Christmas one too. Love it all. Thankyou, Anne: Two Rocks, Perth, Western Australia

Hi Helen, I love your patchwork site. You clever cookie! Thanks, keep up the good work. Eddi: Kingsley, Perth, Western Australia

Helen, I like your first issue. I wish you luck and continued success. I look forward to future issues. Thank you for the "free" quilt block patterns.
Judy: Farmington, Missouri, USA

Hi Helen, Thanks for the prompt reply. Have had quick look at the site and am "very impressed" and particularly as the patterns are in blanket stitch which is my particular passion, along with other patchwork. I have also been a "bearmaker" for a number of years so really into hands on crafting. Margaret: Craigie, Perth, Western Australia

Helen - I love your website and have subscribed to your newsletter. Do you have a link or a table of measurement conversions that could be used for those of us who are used to buying/measuring material in yards? I have made 2 quilts- one 20 years ago and one this year but I have collected material, patterns, tools, ideas and dreams for many years. I'm a quilt-a-holic and proud of it! Happy quilting! Linda: Blaine, Minnesota (summer) and Green Valley, Arizona (winter)! :-)

"Thanks" Helen for the repeat of July's block of the month. Mine somehow disappeared off the computer. You have saved me from having a blank space on my quilt. Love the ezine, keep it coming. Therese: Dalyellup, South West, Western Australia

Helen, I belong to Cyberquilters and just wanted to thank you for letting us know about your new "free" e-zine. I signed up for it and sent my daughter your url so she could too. I'm hoping to try that vanilla recipe, too. I like the way you have it set it up - easy to navigate. Best of luck! Rita: Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Congratulations on this new e-zine. I think you are doing a great job with it. I enjoyed reading it and you have really nice "patterns" on it. Juanita: New London, WI

Hi Helen, I have just been through your newsletter and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it! The story about your Mother's quilt was very inspiring and the "recipe" for Vanilla Thrilla is on my kitchen bench to buy the ingredients when I next shop. I will return to the web sites for a browse and may even make a few purchases... I sat down with my lunch after doing my housework and I have had a very enjoyable time. THANK -YOU! Regards, Julie: Ipswich, Queensland, Australia

I LOVED your "Sunflower Special" quilt. Thank you. My goal is to make 3 or 4 sunflower themed quilts for our daughter by Christmas & her b-day, which is December. She loves sunflowers. This is definitely in my pile to do. Will use sunflower fabrics for flowers -- or for background, not sure. Sharon: Hamburg Township, MI

Hi Helen, Congratulations on your PNQ online, you are a very clever lady and I have very much enjoyed reading it. I will be taking the "pattern" for My Favourite Christmas Things with me up to Exmouth to start sewing. Look forward to catching up at Quilters in September. Go Eagles!! Helen: Kardinya, Perth, Western Australia

What a great site! I love it and can't wait to read it each month. I'm looking forward to the Block of the Month "surprises". I'm going to commence "My Favourite Christmas Things" today. Loved the article about the Patchwork Warehouse. Spent the day there on Wednesday doing a lesson - The Bargello Quilt. Janet: Albany, Western Australia
